Biodroom

Earth, plants, wood, plastic, steel - dim 70m x 70m

Invitated by Heleen vanden Bergh and the city of Antwerp, we designed and built the Biodroom, a laboratory for art, gardening and ecology in a city context. Located at a utopian green spot on the Left Bank of Antwerp, it is at the same time an organic vegetable garden and a place for artistic interventions, culture and cooperation.

Biodroom is an environmental artwork and a landscape drawing consisting of a series of concentric circles. Visitors are welcomed by half a Bucky ball. The main ambition of the place was to connect people by literally rolling up their sleeves.

We also curated an exposition with the title Supernatural. Participating artists were Heidi Swerts, Gino Rizzi, Wietse Vermeulen, Sara Dykmans, Hans Luyten, Laura Zuallaert, Time Circus and Tobias Noben.
