Sinking Out of Sight #1-60, 2013-2018
The past six years have been intense years. We have often felt the urge to withdraw ourselves. Like a snail in its shell. Like an introvert in the shadows. Like a nerve under the skin. In those moments the world moved through us in a different way. Small - as small as possible. Undramatic - moments brought down to nearly nothing. Quiet - like a spectroscope able to detect only one wavelength at a time. This series is the result of that process. The photographs are never about us. They go through us. Like long, delayed echoes through time. They are silently pulsating visual rhythms - invitations to sink out of sight.
